Pull up to San Antonio Elks Lodge #216 on Market Hill Boulevard and you'll find something that's gotten harder to come by: a place where people actually know your name. Members rate this lodge 4.6 out of 5, and the reviews say the same thing over and over: the people here go out of their way. When a traveling RV guest rolled in at 9 p.m. on a Sunday, Allen was already waiting at the lot. That kind of welcome isn't a policy. It's a culture.

The lodge sits in a modern commercial suite at 15650 Market Hill Blvd, but the spirit inside runs deep. The B.P.O.E., chartered in 1868, is one of America's oldest fraternal organizations, and Lodge #216 carries that tradition with genuine pride. Members gather here not out of obligation but because the bar is good, the food is real, and the conversation is worth staying for.

Beyond the social hall, Lodge #216 quietly funds scholarships, veterans' programs, and youth initiatives across the San Antonio community. Every dollar spent at the bar and every membership dues check eventually circles back to someone who needs it. That's the Elks way, and it's been working for over 150 years.

What We Offer

The lodge runs a full bar and food service open to members and their guests, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to spend an afternoon or a whole evening. Whether you're catching a game, shooting the breeze, or attending a scheduled event, the social hall is the kind of room that fills up naturally.

RV parking is available on the lodge grounds, making this a popular stop for Elks members traveling through Texas. Spots do require a bit of navigation, so first-timers are encouraged to call ahead. Staff and fellow members are happy to walk you through the layout and get you squared away, often in person.

Membership in Lodge #216 opens the door to the full Elks network: reciprocal privileges at lodges across the country, access to scholarship programs, veterans' support initiatives, and a calendar of local events that keeps the community connected year-round. Prospective members can reach out through the lodge's website to start the process.

"Very nice Lodge with hospitable members and a bar area with food service. The RV Park layout is a bit of a challenge if you don’t have a map. Go immediately to the mailbox on the left side of the Hall to get a map and the Park rules. There is one site on a concrete pad, most with gravel and some on grass. The power works well and the water pressure is excellent."

"3/20-23/2022 We called ahead to verify space availability and Allen was a great host. He even met us at the lot despite it being 9pm on a Sunday that we arrived impromptu. He was pleasant to meet, and the lot is nicely kept. Nice general location, even a costco nearby. We are marking this as a "repeatable" stop for future visits."

"We had a really nice visit here. Alan was super nice, returned our call while we were traveling through and stopped in while we were there to make sure we had what we needed to get registered in. Eric was there to welcome us into the social quarters and stayed with us while we made new friends from another lodge. A wonderful evening with all. Thank you Lodge 216!!!"

"Great Lodge with fantastic members. Wednesday burger night is great as is Sunday football. Don't be fooled by the chill exterior. The interior has a recent renovation and wonderful feel. Great for weddings, receptions, family gatherings or any other community functions. I recommend and will return."
